National Rifle Association -

Lobbyist to Congress for the weapons manufacturing industry, and the defeat of responsible gun ownership regulations

NRA membership is 3.8M -
which represents 1.1 percent of the U.S. population.
Why are 1.1 percent allowed to threaten the well-being of 340 million Americans and financially manipulate the votes of our elected officials?

48,204 children, teens, parents, elderly, and first responder deaths and injuries by firearms in America in 2022

More Children and Teens died by firearms in 2023 than died by automobiles, or cancer or poisoning

Guns sent 6,248 of America's youth to hospitals or morgues in 2023

America is Great!  Reality - this is a Myth:

1.36 million Americans have died in combat in all wars and military actions in history.

America put man on the moon in July. 1969.  Since then, 1.8 million people have been killed by firearms on American soil.

3,000 people were killed on 9-11 in the U.S..  Sixteen times that number die each year at the hands of people with firearms.  Over 882,000 citizens have died by firearms since 9-11.

The gun-related murder rate of the U.S. is 26 times higher than 22 other high-income nations.  When combining population of the other 22 nations and the U.S., the U.S. has:

  • 82 percent of all gun deaths

  • 90 percent of all women killed with guns

  • 91 percent of childre n under 14 killed with guns, and

  • 92 percent of young people between ages 15 and 24 killed with guns

America is not great....

Contrary to NRA propaganda...  433 million guns have not made citizens any safer

There are less than 2,300 defensive uses of firearms in any  given year

You are 26 times more likely to be shot and die in the U.S. than in these countries

Gun Deaths In the US vs Other High Income Countries

United States citizens have 433,000,000 firearms, but only 7,512,175 are registered

As documented by the Violence Policy Center’s two Blood Money studies, the NRA has received tens of millions of dollars from gun manufacturing corporations.  This money promotes gun sales  and it is 'blood money' passed by the NRA to members of Congress to secure votes against citizen proposals for more responsible gun ownership regulations.

Industry members who donate a million dollars or more to the NRA are inducted into the organization’s Golden Ring of Freedom, the honors of which include a yellow sports coat. Million-dollar contributors include gun manufacturers Taurus, Sturm, Ruger & Co, Smith & Wesson, Glock, Mossberg, Midway, Browning, Remington Outdoor Company, Beretta USA, Springfield Armory, as well as accessories vendors MidwayUSA and Brownells.

The nationalrifleassociation.us web site is dedicated to the 1.8 million gun death victims on U.S. soil since 1969. It has no legal or commercial relationship to the NRA, gun and weapons manufacturers, political parties or political action committees.
